The “Basura” tax is payable once a year and contributes towards the rubbish collection service run by the town hall.

Just like the IBI, or council tax, if you don’t pay them you’ll accrue interest over the years for non-payment and will need to show the latest receipt when you finally sell the property as part of the proof there’s no debt against the property.
